With summer upon us, our thoughts often turn to those cool treats…like ice cream and yogurt. June is National Dairy Month, which is a time to thank America’s dairy farmers for their hard work and contributions to the nation’s health and economy. Jennifer DeHoog of the St. Louis District Dairy Council’s Peoria office, says there are benefits to eating three servings of dairy foods a day. Speaking on Friday’s WJEZ Community Forum, DeHoog said dairy products go hand-in-hand with the summer months. She encourages you to get your 3-A-Day on the go while going to ball games, concerts or taking the kids somewhere. For more information, log on to STLDairyCouncil.org.
