A Braidwood woman has been charged with eight counts of forgery in Livingston County Court. Prosecutors say 22-year-old Samantha Ptacek wrote several checks, payable to Casey’s, signed with someone else’s name throughout the month of January. Ptacek will appear in Livingston County Circuit Court March 3. She has posted bond from jail.
