The Pontiac Grade School Board has unanimously expressed its support for Superintendent Steve Graham, despite earlier pleas, from some people, calling for Graham’s resignation. After Monday night’s two-hour closed session meeting at Central School, District 429 Board President Mike Fairfield also announced plans to form a public roundtable discussion group, to address some concerns anyone may have with the school district. CLICK FOR SOUND John Barnhardt was among the 50 people attending the meeting. He’s not happy with the way things are going in the district. During a brief public comment period, one woman said she doesn’t want her kids to go to a school that’s not well rounded. Another woman said she and others in the room support the teacher’s union recent vote of no confidence against the superintendent.
