A two-story farmhouse near Long Point was damaged by fire Wednesday, but there were no injuries. Officials say the house’s owner noticed smoke coming from a vent and that’s when he notified authorities. The house sustained smoke and water damage, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. The Long Point, Cornell, Pontiac, Flanagan and Reading Fire Departments responded to the blaze, along with EMS personnel from Advanced Medical Transport and Duffy Ambulance.
