Crowd pays tribute at Southside Cemetery
Crowd pays tribute at Southside Cemetery
A large crowd gathered at Southside Cemetery in Pontiac Monday  to pay tribute to those that gave the ultimate sacrifice. The Reverend Phil Icenogle, from the Methodist Church, gave the invocation and benediction. Ken Davies Junior was the featured speaker. He’s the president of the VFW Post 886 Men’s Auxiliary. The service also featured music from Ann Finnegan and the Pontiac Municipal Band, the Pontiac High School Band, and students from Pontiac Junior High and St. Mary’s helped with the parade, which marched across the Mill Street Bridge.  Since the rain held off, many Livingston County cemeteries were able to observe Memorial Day.
