Rutherford & Radogno leading fight to keep prison open
Rutherford & Radogno leading fight to keep prison open
State Senator Dan Rutherford is continuing his fight to keep the Pontiac Correctional Center open. Rutherford encourages residents to check his website: DanRutherford.com, to find out the latest information on the Pontiac prison issue. Deputy Senate Republican Leader Christine Radogno from Lemont says other Illinois towns can relate to Pontiac’s concerns over the prison. Rutherford and Radogno are among a group of lawmakers introducing legislation that would create a Correctional Facilities Panel to closely examine the condition at the state’s correctional centers. Until the panel completes a review, a moratorium would be placed on all prison closures.
