Opinions voiced at wind farm hearing
Opinions voiced at wind farm hearing
Wind energy was once again the focus at a public hearing last night, on the proposed Streator-Cayuga Ridge Wind Project. The hearing at Pontiac High School featured members of the Livingston County Zoning Board of Appeals and officials from Heartland Wind LLC, which wants to construct the wind turbines in the northern part of the county. Manville resident Judy Campbell told the board that wind farms have a negative impact. Richard Fox of Emington said wind farms will help reduce our dependence on foreign oil.   The public hearing will conclude at 7 p.m. in the PTHS Auditorium tonight.
