Board to consider zoning requests
Board to consider zoning requests
The Pontiac Zoning Board meets at 4:30 today in the City Council Chambers and will consider a request from Jacobus Leeners to construct a detached garage at his residence on Elmwood Street. Leenders would like to reduce the rear yard setback to two feet. The property is zoned a two family residential area. The board will also hear from Bob Kinas, who wants to exceed the maximum fence height on his property at 1003 North Chicago Street, which includes the vacant lots extended to the north along Chicago Street. The city zoning code states that the maximum height allowed for a fence is no more than five feet in the front yard and six feet in the side and rear yards. All Pontiac zoning meetings are open to the public.
