﻿<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><rss version="2.0"><channel><title>Latest Headlines from 98.9 WJEZ</title><link>http://www.wjez.com/</link><description>News feed from WJEZ Newsroom</description><item><title>Two hospitalized after crash</title><link>http://www.wjez.com/Home/tabid/1808/newsid11307/39395/Two-hospitalized-after-crash/Default.aspx</link><description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;Two people have been released from the hospital after a two-vehicle accident near Cullom Friday afternoon.&amp;#160;Livingston County Sheriff’s Police say 35-year-old Mona Rogers, of Cullom, was driving a 2006 Buick LaCrosse south on County Road 33 Hundred East, approaching the intersection with Route 116, when the car collided with an eastbound Dodge Journey, driven by 21-year-old Alicia Brockett, also from Cullom.&amp;#160;Rogers told police she could not stop and slid through a stop sign.&amp;#160;Rogers was cited for driving too fast for conditions.&amp;#160;Both women were treated and released from St. James Medical Center in Pontiac.&lt;span&gt;&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description><pubDate>Mon, 08 Feb 2010 16:13:49 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>Weekend fires under investigation</title><link>http://www.wjez.com/Home/tabid/1808/newsid11307/39394/Weekend-fires-under-investigation/Default.aspx</link><description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The state fire marshal is investigating the cause of a two-story house fire, which occurred in Fairbury Saturday morning.&amp;#160;The house, at 904 East Locust Street, sustained major damage according to Fairbury Fire Chief Leroy McPherson.&amp;#160;No one was injured and one person was home at the time.&amp;#160;&lt;/strong&gt;Meanwhile, no one was injured, but a cat was lost in a weekend house fire on Pontiac’s south side.&amp;#160;Firefighters were called to the home at 100 Diller Street early Saturday.&amp;#160;Officials say the house, owned by Aimee Pierce, sustained moderate damage to its basement and some first floor walls.&amp;#160;A furnace may have caused the blaze.&amp;#160;Firefighters did rescue two dogs, two cats and a hamster from the residence. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description><pubDate>Mon, 08 Feb 2010 16:11:59 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>ALERT: Winter Weather Advisory in effect</title><link>http://www.wjez.com/Home/tabid/1808/newsid11307/39386/ALERT-Winter-Weather-Advisory-in-effect/Default.aspx</link><description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;img height="84" width="112" align="left" alt="" src="/Portals/BLO/WJEZFM/images/img222.jpg" /&gt;The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for snow, which is in effect from 9 p.m. this evening through 10 a.m. Wednesday.
