Changes Mark 2020 at the Pontiac Library

By Neil Doyle

There are some new changes to start the year at the Pontiac Public Library.

Director Kristin Holzhauer told WJEZ’s Todd Wineburner the library has joined other departments around the city and has changed its phone system.

“We have changed to a phone system called VoiP and this system is a considerable upgrade from what we had in the past,” said Holzhauer. “The added benefit is it does save the library some money.”

Holzhauer said don’t be alarmed if you call the library and things sound different.

Another change is storytime for younger library-goers. Storytime will be on Monday’s at 11:30 a.m. and Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.

More information about library activities and services can be found at pontiac.org. You can hear WJEZ’s complete interview with Kristin Holzhauer on the podcasts page at WJEZ.com.
