It’s Time to Sound Off About Illinois Roads

By Neil Doyle

Illinois residents have the chance to give their feedback regarding the state’s transportation system.

The Illinois Department of Transportation has put out its annual Illinois Traveler Opinion Survey. Conducted since 2001, the survey asks several questions on a wide range of topics.

“What we’re looking for is a variety of information like road conditions, driving behaviors, commuting habits, and thoughts on what IDOT is doing right and what can be improved,” said spokesperson Guy Tridgell.

Tridgell said even if you don’t drive, the transportation system affects everyone in the state.

“For instance, there are items like groceries that get into your house that were somehow delivered to the grocery store. They didn’t just magically appear, they relied on the transportation system,” he said.

The survey is open until Dec. 31 and takes about 10 to 15 minutes.
