Former Pontiac Man Facing Child Pornography Charges in Arizona

By Neil Doyle

A former Pontiac man has been arrested in Suprise, Arizona for child pornography.

Suprise Police and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested Jay Pitchford, 37, on a felony warrant. Pitchford is in custody in the Maricopa County Jail in Phoneix, Arizona.

His bond has been set at $250,000 or his extradition to Livingston County.

An investigation by Illinois State Police, the Illinois State’s Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Livingston County State’s Attorney’s Office led to Pitchford’s arrest.

Child pornography is a Class X felony, and if convicted, Pitchford could face six to 30 years in prison.
