A day full of music, food, and entertainment is right around the corner in Pontiac.

The Summer Shindig is on Saturday starting at 4:00 p.m. at Humiston-Riverside Park.

“I’ve always wanted to put on a musical festival of some kind,” said event organizer Marlon Eilts. “We started three years ago at the Eagle Theater, but since the city has put up this great band shell that has made for a great venue to host the Summer Shindig.”

Eilts said several local businesses are lined up as food vendors, along with different musical acts.
