Bike trails could soon be available in areas around Pontiac. The idea has been discussed for the last several years, but Pontiac Mayor Bob Russell tells WJEZ’s Todd Wineburner that there’s some movement toward making the paths a reality. According to Russell, four different trails have been marked around the city and a plan was presented this week to the council. “We were presented with a plan from the Farnsworth Group that outlined the possible trails we’d be looking at. It’s starting to happen I believe,” said Russell. A capital funding campaign would help pay for the paths.

A special meeting will be held at City Hall June 18th for anyone who has questions or comments about the bike trails.
