Dwight Teacher Arrested

A Dwight Township High School teacher is facing charges of criminal sexual assault involving an underage male student.

Livingston County Sheriff Tony Childress said an investigation led to the arrest of Kathryn Patten, 34, of Dwight on Friday. Patten was charged with criminal sexual assault by an authority figure. The sheriff’s office said a $2,500 cash bond was posted for her release.

Childress said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.

Patten is a family and consumer science teacher, according to the school’s website.
