The Livingston County Board is looking for a resident of District 1 who’s willing to serve. Carolyn Gerwin is moving out of the district and she submitted her resignation to the board at its last full meeting.

Gerwin’s replacement will be appointed by County Board Chair Bob Young and approved by the board. An eligible candidate must be a Republican who lives in Pontiac or Rook’s Creek Township. The appointee will serve until November of 2020. A permanent selection will be made in the 2020 primary and general elections.
