OSF HealthCare Raising Minimum Wage

By Neil Doyle

OSF HealthCare will raise the minimum wage for its workers to $12 an hour, impacting the John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac.

The healthcare provider made the announcement Thursday and the raise will be made effective February 24.

Officials said approximately 1,142 mission partners will benefit from the increase.

The majority of those who will benefit serve in food service, housekeeping, gift shops, or are members of the guest services team.

The increase is anticipated to have an approximate $1.5 million impact to the ministry.
