With significant snowfall in the forecast, the Livingston County Highway Department has issued this statement:

Weather forecasts are calling for a fair amount of snow, high winds and low temperatures this weekend. This combination could result in white-out conditions and heavy drifting along all roads in the affected area. The Livingston County Highway Department will start in the morning both Saturday and Sunday and quit in the early evening. Poor or no visibility may cause us to suspend operations temporarily. As a reminder, State Highways and Township Roads do not fall under the jurisdiction of this department. Please limit travel as much as possible to avoid potentially hazardous conditions.
