The Livingston County Board has a special meeting scheduled for Thursday evening to discuss the idea of placing tax-oriented binding referenda on the April ballot. In November, Livingston County voters said ‘yes’ to non-binding questions regarding the continuation of county-supported home health care services. A majority of voters said they wanted to see the services continue and that they’d be willing to pay increased taxes to provide the necessary revenues.

At Thursday’s meeting, the board will consider the question of putting similar measures on the April ballot, but this time in the form of binding referenda that will dictate future county policies.
