Republican Candidates Dominate County Board Elections

Republicans dominated the County Board in the November 6th elections. Kathy Arbogast, James Carley, Bill Mays, and Jim Blackard were selected in District 1 for four year terms. Patrick Killian won election to a 2-year term.

In District 2, Bob Weller, Steven Lovell, Gerald Earing, and Bill Wilkey were selected,

And in District 3, Linda Ambrose, John Vitzthum, Mark Runyon, and John Yoder prevailed.

County Clerk Kristy Masching, Sheriff Tony Childress, Treasurer Nikki Meier, State Representative Tom Bennett and Senator Jason Barickman all ran unopposed.

On the non-binding questions regarding home health care and the taxes to support such a program, the residents of Livingston County said they wanted those services. The Home Health care question prevailed with 84 Percent of the vote. On the tax question, 64 percent of voters said they’d be willing to pay more to have home health care services.

Voter turnout was strong in the county, with 57 percent of registered voters casting a ballot.
