Two Large Companies Taking Advantage of Tax Abatement

The Greater Livingston County Economic Development Council made an exciting announcement during the Community Forum with Todd Wineburner Friday morning.

CEO of the GLCEDC Adam Dontz said two major businesses are taking advantage of the tax abatement incentive in Livingston County, which had previously been approved by 15 taxing entities in the county.

“What we want to do is work to be a competitive region,” Dontz said. “When Dwight wins, Pontiac wins. When Pontiac wins, Fairbury wins. We need to be competitive as a region and this is Livingston County doing its part.”

The corporate headquarters for international company Sealing Sealing has 130 employees and will be adding more than 25,000 square feet to its business in Forrest.

RKO Saw and Tool in Cullom is also adding 600 square feet to its business.
